Customized Licensing Report

The State Producer Licensing Database (SPLD) is a database containing state licensing and regulatory information. The purpose of this database is to aid states in the producer licensing process. The SPLD links all state regulatory licensing systems into one common system and establishes a repository of producer information. 

The Customized Licensing Report allows the user to specify the report details needed for companies and individuals.

NOTE: The Business Entity Search will return a PDB report if the firm is a business entity, not a company/insurance carrier. The user will only get the Licensing Report for Insurance Carrier report if the firm is a company with a cocode.

How to utilize the Customized Licensing Report:

For Companies

  1. Search for a firm by performing a Business Entity Search or Company/Firm search.

  2. The Lookup Results page displays a list of companies which match the criteria. If using the Company/Firm search, select the desired company and go to the Categories screen.

  3. Click the Customized Licensing Report link for the desired company.

  4. On the Customized Insurance Carrier Report screen select the Report type required or select the Customize Report button below the Select A Report Type section.  (Regulatory Actions are included on all customized reports)

    • All Available Info - includes Demographics and Certificate of Authority Summary information for all states.
    • License Only - All States
    • Regulatory Actions Only- All States
    • All Domicile State(s) Data

    Customized Report

    Report options:

    • Select All
    • Show License Info
    • Show Demographics

    - Select State - Select individual states or all states for the report. States listed are those which have submitted SPLD data for the company.  

    - Selecting the Non Custom Report button will return the user to the previous screen.  

    - Click on the Get Report button to generate the Licensing Report for Insurance Carrier report based on the criteria selected.

     


  1. The Licensing Report for Insurance Carrier report will display the selected company licensing information for the selected entity. Header information details last updated dates by category for the company. RIRS information, if present, is linked to the RIRS section below. If the database does not contain specific types of data, the words, "No Information Available" will display.

  2. Scroll through the report to view the information. General company information is provided which includes the company name as submitted by state of domicile, the standardized NAIC short company name, Cocode, FEIN, State of Domicile, Incorporate Date, report type and date. The company's domicile state information is listed first, followed by the foreign state's information, which includes Demographics, Certificate of Authority Summary, and Regulatory Actions.

  3. To save the Licensing Report for Insurance Carrier report as a plain text file or print the report as it appears, select the appropriate option from your browser's file menu. (NOTE: You cannot save or print the data page using the secondary (right) click menu options used for Financial Reports.)

  4. You must close the report to return to the Customized Insurance Carrier Report screen. Next, close the Customized Insurance Carrier Report screen.   

 

For Individuals

  1. Search for an individual by performing a Individual Entity search

  2. The Lookup Results page will display a list of individuals who match the criteria entered.

  3. Click the Customized Licensing Report link for the desired individual.

  4. On the Customized Producer Report screen click on the Report type required or select the Customize Report button below the Select A Report Type section. (Regulatory Actions are included on all customized reports)

    • All Available Info - includes Demographics and License/Appointment Summary information for all states.
    • License Only - All States
    • Appt/Terminations Only - All States
    • Regulatory Actions Only- All States
    • All Resident State(s) Data

    • Show License Info
    • Show Appt/Terminations.
    • Show Demographics

    - Select State - Select individual states or all states. States listed are those which have submitted data for this individual.  

    - Selecting the Non Custom Report button will return the user to the previous screen.

    - Click on the Get Report button to generate the PDB Report based on the criteria selected.  

     

  1. The PDB Report will display selected licensing information for the individual. Header information displays producer’s Name, National Producer Number - NPN, Resident State(s), and Adjuster Designated Home State(s) – ADHS, last updated dates by category for the individual. RIRS information, if present, is linked to the RIRS section below. If the database does not contain specific types of data, the words, "No Information Available" will display.

  2. Scroll through the report to view the information.  The producer's resident state's information is listed first, followed by the non-resident state's information, which includes Demographics, License/Appointment Summary, and Regulatory Actions.

  3. To save the PDB Report as a plain text file or print the report as it appears, select the appropriate option from your browser's file menu. (NOTE: You cannot save or print the data page using the secondary (right) click menu options used for Financial Reports.)

  4. You must close the report to return to the Customized Producer Report screen. Next, close the Customized Producer Report screen.  

  5. Utilize the Back button on the menu bar to return to the Market Individual Search screen. Closing the Lookup Results screen will result in closing I-SITE.
