The Data Models utility describes the table structures and
the business rules that apply in defining the requirements controlling the design and
implementation of the NAIC databases. The information is listed by subject area and
contains entity and attribute definitions along with their relationship to other tables.
Notice: As of November 14, 2003, Database
Data Models will no longer be available from the I-SITE Utilities page.
Database Data Models are and will be available in StateNet.

Data models describe the database structure
and the relationships between the tables (objects). This site contains the
available data models for NAIC databases. The electronic Data
Reference Manual also describes the database tables in the NAIC
database.
The following Data Models are currently available:
Financial Analysis Systems (FAS)
This data model contains the support tables for Financial Analysis Systems.
FDR Models, Quality Assurance Version
This model should become production on 2/15/2000. Current version of the Company, Blank
Support, Audit, History and other FDR models.
To access the data models:
- At the I-SITE Log-In page, enter your Oracle User ID and
Password in the appropriate fields.
- Click the Utilities link OR if already logged in, click the
Utilities link at the top of many pages within I-SITE. The I-SITE Utilities page will
display listing the available utilities and their descriptions.
- To access the Data Models utility, click the Data Models
link in the Utility section on the left side of the table, near the top of the page. The
Data Models page will display.
- If you have not already done so, download the Adobe File
Reader by clicking the Downloads button at the top of
the I-SITE Log-In page. These files must be installed to view the data models.
- To view a data model, click the data model name link
identified on the page.
- Once a data model is selected, an Adobe Acrobat window opens
within the browser to display the information.
- To specify a particular branch of the model, click the
bookmark name listed on the left frame.
- The right frame will display the model for the selected
item.
- The table name is listed at the top of the display box,
along with the various fields associated with the data model.
- To print the information within the selected model, click
the Printer toolbar button on the browser or within Adobe Acrobat, or select the Print
option from the File menu.
- To save the data displayed within the selected data model in
a PDF file format, select the Save As option from the File menu.
- To return to the I-SITE Data Models page, click the Back
button on your browser.
- To return to the I-SITE Utilities page, click the Back
button on the browser or click the Back button located at the bottom of the Data Models
page. To navigate to other areas of I-SITE, use the links at the top of the page.
