Risk Based Capital (RBC) Trend Test Summary Report

The Financial Analysis RBC Trend Test Summary Report provides a summary of trend test results for both Property and Life companies. Specifically, the tool displays those companies that trigger a Company Action Level event based on the result of the Trend Test. The report also lists key elements used in determining the Trend Test result from the RBC calculation.

Note: This is a confidential tool and is restricted to those users with assigned permissions.

Running a report 

Launch Summary Reports located under the Tools tab. Click RBC Trend Test Summary listed under Financial Analysis/Examination to generate the trend test summary by selecting the following options:

• Year 
• Business Type
• Nationally Significant
• Domiciled
• Licensed
• Business Written
• CoCode
• Group Code
• Sort 
• State (Select All, single state or multiple states by holding the [CTRL] key while selecting the individual state's)
• Click Submit to view the result

The displayed trend test summary result is dependent on the selected options and based on the business type the trigger explanation will appear in the footnote.

Printing the Report

The trend test summary report can be printed by clicking the printer icon appearing on the browser tool bar or from the menu bar such as clicking on, File > Print.

Saving the Report

The report displayed in the browser window can be saved on your computer. To save, click File > "Save As" , type in a filename and click the Save button.
