State Page Reports

State Page reports are predefined, standard summary reports based on data from the Schedule T, State Page and Credit Life and Accident & Health Experience Exhibit. Detail reports display figures by company. Aggregate reports display the totals for all companies for a line or lines of business. Some of the reports listed below are available for only one business type (life or property) while some are available for both life and property companies. Accident and Health reports can include both life and property companies on the same report.

To view State Page reports:

  1. Click the Summary Reports link located under the Tools tab.
  2. Select the desired State Page report from the State Page area of the page (see descriptions of available reports below).
  3. Click the Submit button to the right of the report selection area. The State Page Summary Report page will display.
  4. Select the desired criteria from the drop down lists. (NOTE: Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).)
  5. Select sort parameters for the report, if desired. You may select both a Primary and a Secondary sorting option. Sort criteria vary based on the report selected.
  6. Click the Submit button to generate the report based on the criteria selected.
  7. To save the report in HTML or Excel, select the Report Type from the drop down menu, and click Submit.
  8. To print the report, select the print option from the File menu at the top of the report page. (NOTE: To ensure that the entire report prints, "Landscape" must be selected as the printer orientation for State Page reports. The printer orientation can be changed by clicking the Properties button in the Print dialog box.)
  9. To close the State Page Report click the close button (X) at the top right of the report page or select the Close option from the File menu at the top of the report page.
  10. To return to the main Summary Reports page, click the Back button on the browser.
  11. To perform another search or navigate to a different application within iSite+, select the appropriate link at the top of the page.

Available State Page reports are as follows:

Aggregate -Credit and A&H Pure Direct Loss Ratio (Property and Life) - This report shows aggregate figures (the sum of all companies) for Direct Premiums Written, Direct Premiums Earned and Direct Losses incurred on the State Page for A&H lines of business. You cannot select individual lines of business or combine lines. The last column of the report (Loss Ratio) enables you to determine the total losses incurred to premiums earned for each line of business in the state selected. The Loss Ratio is calculated excluding all loss adjustment expenses (LAE). Data for both property and life companies are included.

Aggregate - Lines of Business by State (Property and Health) - This report shows aggregate figures (the sum of all companies) by column for each line of business on the Property/Casualty and Health State Pages. You cannot select individual lines of business or combine lines.

Detail Lines Of Business (Property, Health and Life)-This report provides a list of premium information for each company and each line of business premiums by business type, by line of business, by company. The "Selected Financial Amount to Report on" and "Selected Lines of Business to include" drop down selection options will be based upon the Business Type selected.

Detail Life Premium & Annuity Considerations  - This report provides premium information for life and annuity business written by life companies. The data is based on the State Page, and the report format resembles the Life State Page format. Each line of business applicable to life and annuity business is displayed in each report separately, or combined into one report showing life, annuity and miscellaneous (write in) business.

Detail Life Summary  - This report provides a summary of key data on the life state page by company. This information includes Life Premiums, Annuity Considerations, Insurance in Force ending current year, Direct Benefits Paid, A&H Direct Premiums Written and A&H Losses Incurred.

Detail- P&C or Health Summary by Line of Business - This report displays the six columns of data that appear on the State Page for the type of companies you request (domiciled, licensed, etc.). You can select individual lines of business and combine lines. The total line is always displayed.

Detail Unlicensed Premiums (Property, Life and Health) - This report lists companies that write business in the state specified but are not licensed. It is based on Direct Premiums Written on Schedule T. The report is available for both life, property and health companies.

Market Share Accident & Health (Property, Life and Health) - This report indicates the market share of all accident and health business by company, as well as relative loss ratio. Market Share is calculated by dividing each company’s premiums by total premiums for all companies. The loss ratio is calculated excluding all loss adjustment expenses (LAE). Data can be included  for one business type or for all property, life and health companies.

Market Share Credit Accident & Health (Property and Life) - This report indicates the market share for credit accident and health business by company. The report is based on data provided by the Credit Life and Accident and Health Experience Exhibit. The loss ratio is calculated excluding all loss adjustment expenses (LAE). Data can be included or property companies only or for both property and life companies.

Market Share Credit Life (Life) - This report indicates the market share by line of business, by company, as well as relative loss ratio. This report is based on the Credit Life and Accident and Health Experience Exhibit. Data is available for life companies.

Market Share Life & Annuity (Life) - This report indicates the market share by line of business, by company. The report is based on Direct Premiums or Annuity Considerations on the State Page for the line of business chosen. You can select individual lines of business or the total. Lines of business include: Ordinary Life, Credit Life, Group Life, Industrial Life, Ordinary Annuity and Group Annuity. There are total lines for both life and annuity.

Market Share P&C or Health by Line of Business - This report show market share by company, by line of business, as well as relative loss ratio.  This report is based on three columns from the State Page: Direct Premiums Written, Direct Premiums Earned and Direct Losses Incurred.  Market share for each company is calculated by dividing Direct Premiums Written for that company by total Direct Premiums Written.  Data for Property and Health companies is included.
