Validation Exception Summary

The Validation Exception Summary Report presents a count for the number of errors encountered in a company's annual and/or quarterly financial statement filing.  The companies are listed alphabetically for the state specified by the user and the number of errors for each company listed are presented by error type.  The number that displays is a hyperlink that will yield error details when clicked.

Errors in an electronic filing may prevent the annual statement information from loading to the NAIC databases.  Errors may also provide an indication of data quality.

  • The Validation Exception Summary Criteria page provides the following options for specifying report parameters

The Validation Exception Summary report presents as follows.  The top of the report shows the criteria specified for generating the report.  The companies are listed in alphabetical order with the cocodes in the first column of the report followed by the company names in the second column.  The remaining column headings indicate the error type and the number of errors encountered in the electronic annual statement filing.  The error count number is a hyperlink that displays error details when clicked.
